Activated Clay / Bentonite

Used to absorb moisture, the Activated Clay Desiccant is a naturally occurring porous mineral that is dried and processed to enhance its adsorption capacity of up to 25% of its weight. Activated Clay is also commonly known as Bentonite Clay or Montmorillonite Clay. In temperatures above 50°C, the Activated Clay can discharge its adsorbed moisture back into the environment, allowing it to become unsaturated and reusable again. However, this also means that the Activated Clay is unsuitable for applications over 50°C. The Activated Clay at Stream Peak is not only a cost-effective desiccant compared to others, but also safe, odourless, chemically inert, non-corrosive and non-toxic. Furthermore, its physical shape is also able to remain unchanged even after saturation.
