Gummed Tape Dispensers are ideal for quickly sealing corrugated boxes and provide a simple method for measuring, wetting, and cutting water-activated/gummed tapes.
Water-activated/gummed tape is made from paper or potato starch, and it is recyclable and biodegradable. The tape consists of natural resources, which creates a natural adhesive that becomes sticky when wet. This natural adhesive also contributes to the increase in material strength of the tape.
The Gummed Tape Dispenser activates the sticky properties of the water-activated/gummed tapes by moistening them as it is dispensed. Gummed Tape Dispensers are also a great packaging option since they can pack over 50 packages per day and are ideal for medium-to-high-volume packing operations or sealing a variety of carton sizes.
Water-Activated Reinforced/Non-Reinforced Kraft Paper Tape is used to seal the top and bottom of cartons in two strips, making it suitable for both recycled and non-used cargoes. It works best for light to medium-weight cartons weighing up to 24 pounds (11kg).
The paper tapes should be stored in a clean, dry environment free of volatile solvents to avoid damage to the packaging. The humidity level in the storage chamber should be between 40% and 50%, and the temperature should be between 4° and 26°C. It is also recommended to rotate inventory.
