Molecular Sieve

Molecular Sieve

Molecular Sieve, also known as zeolite or mol sieve, are made of crystalline aluminosilicate with SiO2: AI202 in the ratio of 2:1. Formed through the extensive cross-linking between AIO4 and SiO4 tetrahedra, this results in different pore openings, which determine the type of Molecular Sieve. Here, we manufacture four types, each with high absorption capacity, mechanical strength and very low attrition loss. The types are 3A, 4A,5 A and 13X. The desiccant is available in different forms such as pellet, powders and spheres to help meet the various needs of different applications and industries.

The customized pore openings of the Molecular Sieve allow specific molecules to be separated from one another by absorbing smaller than the diameter of the pore openings while excluding the rest. This process makes the dehydrating, purifying and separating of selective gas & liquid substance greatly possible.

Capable of absorbing up to 22% of its weight, the Molecular Sieve is also commonly used in filtration systems or as desiccant sachets to reduce humidity levels. Able to function at even a high temperature of 300°C, this makes the adsorbent suitable for machinery applications. Furthermore, the different pore openings enable the Molecular Sieve to function in various applications, making the product robust and multi-purpose.

It can also be regenerated at high temperature when exposed to moisture over a long duration. To restore the absorbent to full capacity, heat it to an optimal temperature between 130°C – 250°C. However, this temperature differs from each type of Molecular Sieves.

  • Absorbs 22% of its own weight
  • Can be used in temperatures up to 300ºc and is best used in machinery operation
