Reservoir Vent Dryers

Reservoir Vent Dryers are designed to protect storage drums and tanks during operation. As the fluid is drawn from the reservoir or air above, fluid is displaced by temperature variations. The air entering the reservoir goes through an active bed of desiccant that functions to remove and retain water vapour. Fast and easy to install, the vent dryer is fitted with a moisture-absorbing desiccant known as Envirogel or Orange-indicating Silica Gel. When this desiccant becomes saturated by water, it visually alerts users through its colour change from orange to green, indicating the need for replacement.

The Reservoir Vent Dryer is best suited for companies with storage drums, reservoirs, and tanks as it requires no energy and provides continuous protection for the items. The vented dryer is capable of preventing fluids from absorbing water vapour and condensing. Once the liquid condensates, physical and chemical changes would take place, making it unusable. Field tests have also shown that when the Reservoir Vent Dryers are installed, the airspace above is safe from condensation within the first few hours.

Condensation in the fluid produces permanent chemical and physical changes. These dryers can be filled with Silica Gel, Molecular Sieves, and Activated Carbon that help inflame suppression and reduce odour emission.
