SpotBot™ Cellular

The SpotBot™ Cellular is a standalone impact and temperature data logger, capable of tri-axial impact recording, temperature monitoring, and tracking through cellular connectivity, allowing it to communicate even without line of sight to a satellite. With the SpotSee web-based platform, users can access the data from the cloud through any web-based device. The SpotBot™ Cellular can reduce the high cost of global logistics and supply chain damage through a real-time damage monitoring system.

The data logger aids transport, shipping, supply chain management, and plant managers to easily identify where, when, and how impact or temperature damage has occurred. It also allows users to stop damaged shipments early and execute cost-reducing procedures. The collected data is delivered in real-time to the SpotSee Cloud through the SpotSee Connectivity, a unique and low-cost global cellular communication system that can be accessed at any location with cellular coverage. This is possible as SpotSee owns its own Mobile Virtual Network, which provides cloud services and global messaging for less than $10 a month.

The SpotBot™ Cellular can generate extremely accurate impact data up to 65G, which is four times the spectrum of the best competitive alternative making (which can only capture 16G). The range for impact monitoring is ideal for products between 100 – 60,000 lbs. With off-shelf lithium batteries, the device can operate for more than 70 days while generating an hourly summary report of monitored data. Once the data is recorded, it is automatically analysed in real-time for immediate and insightful reports that include the time, location, frequency, and severity of the damage. API’s are also available for customers to retrieve the data to use with their tools.

The impact settings of the SpotBot™ Cellular can be easily configured to suit the product being monitored. Once an impact over a specified threshold occurred, the device will deliver a timestamp of alerts to users. Once the trip is over, users can download a PDF that maps out the top 10 largest impacts or a CSV file with the top 50 largest impacts and a time slot report. This would allow users to identify the area which was affected by mishandling and make necessary changes. The SpotBot™ Cellular is typically used in applications that involve automotive parts, electronics, semiconductors, construction equipment, oil supplies, and transformers.
