High Flow Relief Valve

High Flow Relief Valve

High Flow Valves are designed to prevent the build-up of pressure in applications by moving large quantities of air quickly and automatically. Capable of providing both pressure and vacuum relief at an opening point of 0.50 psi ± 0.25 psi in both directions for fast decompression, it ensures that the goods inside are protected against extreme pressure and allows safe access into the application.

Perfect Substitute from Rupture Disks

A Rupture Disk is a piece of common equipment used to protect applications from over pressurising. However, the downside is that the Rupture Disk is a single-use device that needs replacement once used or over-pressurised. On the other hand, the High Flow Valves are reusable and can provide rapid decompression in 15 seconds for typical cargos with a high flow rate of up to 140 SCFM.

Best Protection from Atmospheric Pressure

High Flow Valves are also capable of providing atmospheric pressure protection for containers of over 1,100 ft.³. Atmospheric pressure protection is needed as airborne transport of large volume containers requires large volumes of moving air to prevent explosion caused by atmospheric pressure changes due to altitude.

Easy to Use

The High Flow Valves incorporate a manual release button that allows safe and easy entry into the enclosure even when it is under vacuum conditions or pressurised. A retaining clip is secured to prevent the button from being misused, while a lanyard is attached to the clip to avoid misplacement. With only 1.25” wide from the container wall to the tip of the manual release button, the High Flow Valve can also be installed into container walls with a thickness of up to 1/2” easily.
