Proximity Alert System

Proximity Alert System

The Proximity Alert System comprises the Personal Alarm Devices (PADs) and the Collision Avoidance Module (CAM). These are the necessary equipment from the HIT-NOT series needed for the entire proximity alert system to work.

Personal Alarm Device (PAD)

The Personal Alarm Device (PAD) is used to detect pedestrians and minimise collisions at the workplace. Worn by pedestrians, the device contains sensors that detect the magnetic field mounted on the vehicle-mounted generator. Once the field is detected, the sensor will warn both the pedestrian and vehicle operator about the danger. The PAD produces two types of alarms. One is when the pedestrian is in the Warning Zone (Yellow) of the forklift, which will give off a series of 3 beeps and LED Light, while the other is when the pedestrian is in the Danger Zone (Red), which will give off continuous beep and LED Light.

XL Personal Alarm Device (XL PAD)

The Extra Loud Personal Alarm Device (XL PAD) is designed especially for applications in workspaces with extremely loud noises. When placed within 4 inches of a person’s ear, it registers at a minimum of 100dB and complete with a clip-on LED light on the shirt or vest. Like the Personal Alarm Device (PAD), the XL PAD is worn by pedestrians and is incorporated with sensing elements used to detect magnetic fields. It will then send alerts to both the vehicle operators and pedestrians. The magnetic field can be differentiated into two zones. One is when the pedestrian is in the Warning Zone (Yellow) of the forklift, giving off a series of 3 beeps and LED Light, while the other is when the pedestrian is in the Danger Zone (Red), which will give off a continuous beep and LED Light.

Collision Avoidance Module (CAM)

The Collision Avoidance Module (CAM) is an add-on component to the Magnetic Field Generator or the XL Magnetic Field Generator. Capable of functioning like the Personal Alarm Device (PAD) for trucks, the CAM senses the magnetic fields of the MAC-A System and determines the proximity, which then sends an alarm to the other truck warning them that the CAM is near. However, a generator is required for the CAM to function.
